Now that this marathon silliness is over with, it's time to get down to business. This year, Kathleen is joining Lee and Maureen, as well as countless others, at Bench Press for Breast Cancer. BPBC is a fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Foundation and this year, it will be held on May 19th at the Refuge in Middletown, Connecticut. The Event features world champion powerlifters (such as Lee) and average gym goers and is a huge money raiser. In 2010, they raised $7,000; in 2011, they raised more than $8,000. The event organizers are hoping that this is the year that they break $10,000. If you would like to support Kathleen in her bench pressing efforts, click here to make a donation (make sure that you put her name in the comment section). Thanks!!!

Boston!
On Monday, Kathleen successfully completed her first ever Boston Marathon. And by successfully, I mean not only did she cross the finish line, but she did it standing upright and without a visit to a medic (during or after the race). On a race day with record breaking temperatures, this was an unbelievable accomplishment. Although I wasn't there, I think that this article is probably a good representation of what it was like for a good runner to be in a race like this. Congratulations Kathleen!!!
The Athletes' Village!
Before the race - staying cool in the shade.
This is what it's all about!
